Fair terms, plainly written.

Teachers create the account. Students join a class with a code from their teacher — a teacher is responsible for confirming they may enroll the students they add, following their school’s rules and local law.

Worksheets, quizzes, notes, and any file you upload remain yours. You give us permission only to store and process that material in order to run the features you asked for — generating a draft, grading, or showing work to your students.

Generated questions, grades, and feedback are suggestions. You review and approve them. TeachRoster does not guarantee that AI output is accurate or appropriate for your class — the teacher’s judgment is the final word, and grades you return are your own.

Don’t upload material you have no right to use, attempt to identify or contact students who are not yours, or use the service to harass anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.

TeachRoster is in beta and currently free for teachers. Features may change or break. If we introduce paid plans, existing users will be told before anything changes.

The service is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us — which, during the free beta, is nothing.

TeachRoster is a free beta and we charge nothing for it, so we have not named a governing jurisdiction yet. Before any paid plan opens — or before a school signs an agreement with us — this section will name one, and it will be updated here first.

Nothing on this page removes rights you already have under the consumer or education law of the country you teach in.
